Description: If you create a master document and then create and insert a document that has an image embedded in it, the master does not show the images. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a master document 2. Click "insert" -> "new document" 3. Insert an image into the subsequent document 4. Save the created document 5. Update the master Actual Results: Image is not shown in the master, and when exporting the image isn't shown either (eg: File -> Export As -> Export direct to PDF) Expected Results: Images should be shown Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 6.3.2.2 (x64) Build ID: 98b30e735bda24bc04ab42594c85f7fd8be07b9c CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default; VCL: win; Locale: en-US (en_US); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded
Created attachment 155381 [details] a zipfile containing a master and a file with an image I included a reproducer of a master file and another ODT that has just an image in it. If you open the master and make sure to appropriately link the ODT into it, I'm assuming you'll see what I see.
Created attachment 155401 [details] working "some-image.odt"
i can confirm the problem with attached *.zip master document example. a newly created "some-image.odt" seems to work
and with: Version: 6.3.2.2 (x64) Build-ID: 98b30e735bda24bc04ab42594c85f7fd8be07b9c CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 10.0; UI-Render: Standard; VCL: win; Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Sprache: de-DE Calc: and newly created master/subsequent documents i cannot confirm it too. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a master document 2. Click "insert" -> "new document" 3. Save the created document 4. Insert an image into the subsequent document 5. Save the created document 6. Update the master Can you reproduce the problem with newly created master/subsequent documents?
This was a "newly created" master / subsequent documents. The reason I filed the bug with the attached documents was because I had the problem in a different newly created master and associated document, so I tried it again and created these two files and was able to reproduce the issue. If you're asking me to try yet again to create a new new master document and subsequent document with an image, I'm happy to do so, and I can try to follow your steps instead. What were the settings on the image that you used? Perhaps this is an issue with page anchoring versus character anchoring versus something else?

(In reply to erikmjacobs@gmail.com from comment #5) > What were the settings on the image that you used? I was asking about the settings, not the specific image used. I am wondering if this is an "anchor to page" problem. If you are just using plain image insert, IIRC that results in "anchor as character" or something to that effect. Can you double check what type of anchoring and other settings you are using specifically on the image that you are not seeing a problem? Or, open my files and make sure to match the anchoring and etc. in the document you create.
(In reply to erikmjacobs@gmail.com from comment #9) > Can you double check what type of anchoring and other settings you are using > specifically on the image that you are not seeing a problem? The picture is anchord "To Paragraph", this seems to be the default if inserted via Menu "Insert/Image...". I did not set any other settings.

(In reply to Stanislaus J. Pinasthika from comment #11) > the image can show in the master well. try to anchor the image as character Default anchor has been chagend in LO 6.4. (from "to paragraph" to "to character") Erik, so could you please try to reproduce it with a master build from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ ? You can install it alongside the standard version. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the master build.
