Created attachment 155397 [details] Result of described test The description deals with line color, but the same applies to fill color. The description uses Draw, but the same happens with Impress and Calc; Writer works differently. You can set the default line color using the line color icon dropdown when no drawing object is selected. the new color is then shown. If you afterwards set another line color for a line, then this new color is shown in the icon, but lines drawn afterwards still use the default color. The color shown should be the one used for new objects, not the color last used for some object, this is irrelevant. This is the case for both the line color icons in the Line and Filling and the Drawing toolbars. Steps to reproduce (using Line and Filling toolbar): 1. In a new drawing set the default line color to green; icon changes color to green 2. Draw a line, it is green 3. While the line is selected, change the line color to red; icon changes color to red 4. Draw a second line, it is again green; icon color is still red Moreover, the line color icon in the Drawing toolbar is not synchronised. The attachment shows the result of the described proceeding. The same happens if you use the Drawing toolbar icon. After some other action, e. g. creating a textbox, the icon color in the Line and Filling toolbar (but not the Drawing toolbar) is reverted to the standard color blue. This does not happen for the fill color icon!
I just realised that the color shown is the one used when clicking directly on the icon, not the standard color, which in fact can only be seen in the format dialog when called with no drawing object selected.
