Shot of text from Word as image in Writer

Mac OSX 10.14.6 (Mojave)
LibreOffice 6.3.3.2

Copy text from a Word document by high lighting and hitting CMD-C (Copy)
Go to LibreOffice Writer and hit CMD-V (Paste)
The text from the Word document is now pasted into LibreOffice Writer as an image

First time I have ever experienced this when using LibreOffice?
Select Paste Special options works fine except all the formatting and colour etc is lost

Just want to add that I downloaded and tried out

The issue still occurs in the same manner as reported

This is at least a regression, as it works in LO 3.3 (although that also copies some extraneous xml info as comments)

The bug 137905 is a duplicate of this issue, which now has more up-to-date information, so let's close this one and continue on the more recent report.
