Description APS 2019-11-13 07:04:55 UTC
Description:
Fresh install of LO 6.2.8.2 (x64) on WIN 10 (1903) works normally.

After subsequently installing the matching <LibreOffice_6.2.8_Win_x64_helppack_en-GB> file, the loading of, and creation of, Calc and Writer files is very slow. The changing of LO Options invloves significant lag to both selection of an option and any change to the option element. Working within the Calc and Writer files also involves significant lag in selecting any element and changing of cell/written content.

Un-installing the offline help file removes all of these adverse characteristics and operation of Calc and Writer returns to normal.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install LO 6.2.8.2
2. Install Offline Help File <LibreOffice_6.2.8_Win_x64_helppack_en-GB.msi>
3.

Actual Results:
Help pack installation introduces slow behaviour and significant lag rendering operation of the software unusable.

Expected Results:
There should have been no change to the operation of the software after help pack installation

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Thank you for reporting the bug. To be certain the reported issue is not
related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your
Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and
re-test?

I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the issue is still present
Comment 2 APS 2019-12-12 11:23:20 UTC
Thanks for the response. I took the action as requested and can report that opening in safe-mode and subsequently resetting the user profile both eliminate the issue. I had not considered this course of action as it was a fresh install, however the profile must have become corrupted during initial installation. Thanks again for the response and the logical suggestion. I have changed the status to 'resolved'. Rgds.
