1. Copy the chap 5 circuit schematic into the frame (above caption) 2. Change anchor type to "as character" 3. Bug: picture disappears, in large documents the cursor goes to start or end of doc. see attached odt Version: 6.2.7.1 Build ID: 23edc44b61b830b7d749943e020e96f5a7df63bf CPU threads: 12; OS: Mac OS X 10.14.6; UI render: default; VCL: osx; Locale: nb-NO (en_NO.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded NB Will not update to test on new versions due to the longstanding bug of blurry text in Calc on retina screens for LO > 6.2.7

(In reply to laurens from comment #0) > NB Will not update to test on new versions due to the longstanding bug of > blurry text in Calc on retina screens for LO > 6.2.7 Could you please try to reproduce it with a master build from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ ? You can install it alongside the standard version. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the master build
Repro in 6.3.4.2 (image disappears) Tested by: 1. cutting Schematic (image) 2. putting cursor inside of frame 3. pasting image 4. right-click on image and change anchor to "as character" No repro (image remains in frame, anchored "as character") Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) Build ID: eeb2d19e77d6dc47c68e8ba0920a02cf64a1247b CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: default; VCL: win; Additional information: 1. 6.3.4.2 offered anchor option "to frame" 2. 7.0.0.0.alpha does not offer "to frame" anchor 3. In 7.0.0.0.alpha, able to move frame (with image "as character") and image moves with frame. 4. not tested with MacOS
Wrongly set to Needinfo. Repro also Win 7.0+. New. Although strange. Happens only when image is pasted before caption: "Picture disappears when pasted in frame before caption and anchor type is changed". There's a (also strange) workaround: paste on selected frame and undo. (Another bug, needs be searched: undo doesn't remove pasted image). BUT: even more funny is that image is already copied in frame, twice, if opened with LO 3.4. Not shown since LO 3.5. (also some temp. f-up with 4.0 when no image was shown, but reverted soon, so not relevant). Let's set regression for this.
In 43all Lin bibisect repo already wrong in oldest.

Dear laurens, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-UntouchedBug

(In reply to Timur from comment #5) > Although strange. > Happens only when image is pasted before caption: I believe I can explain the observed behavior, but I will it to others to decide whether there is a valid "problem" here, and how to describe it. Tests conducted with 7.4.0.0.alpha1+: 1. Open test file. (notice, in Navigator, that in addition to the schematic (Name: Image1) two images are hidden "Image2" and "test") 2. In the frame, where the image is supposed to be copied, place cursor in front of the first character (i.e., "F"). (notice that it is not possible to add any spaces before that "F" character) 3. Press Ctrl+M (or Clear Direct Formatting icon). (The two hidden images become visible (both anchors as character). 4. Delete both images, place cursor before "F" again. (notice that again it is not possible to add spaces before "F") 5. Press Ctrl+M 6. Now possible to add the image before "F" and change anchor to "as character", without the image disappearing. No explanation for how the file got into that state, but STR should give enough information to understand likely cause of "observed/reproduced" behavior. Additional information 1. Starting with "fresh" test file, "cut" schematic image (Image1 not shown now in Navigator), paste before "F" (Image1 appears again in Navigator). Cursor goes to EOD, but image is not visible. (Using Navigator, with Image1, "Go to" does not change cursor position, regardless of what cursor is placed, and not image frame is highlighted. "Edit" does not open the properties dialog.) 2. Do not think bug 149458 (comment 9) is a DUP of this ticket.
