at office

I have two versions of LO, both 6.2.8.2 running under Linux Manjaro, one in my office and one at home.

At home, some Letterlike Symbols from the Dejavu Sans font (and probably others) are not displayed in the "Insert Special Character" dialog. At my office, all are displayed.

Attached are two corresponding screenshots (office: LO_working.png, home: LO_notworking.png).

Version: 6.2.8.2
Build ID: f82ddfca21ebc1e222a662a32b25c0c9d20169ee
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: de-DE (en_US.utf8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

The current dev-version also shows this bug.

Those clips are showing different fonts!

The clip for your at home install is showing 'Liberation Sans' while at work is correct 'Dejavu Sans'. So, you are getting an unexpected font fall back.

Check if Dejavu Sans (I think the LibreOffice deployed build should be 2.37) is actually installed (and has not been corrupted).

You nailed it. Thanks!

I had an old font replacement table active.
