=========================================
I opened and then slideshow a very large powerpoint file and after clicking slide two to go to slide three the program crashed.
The powerpoints had macros but they were disabled by libreoffice as i have macro security set high.
This powerpoint is extreamly large and forced libreoffice to take up about 1.5 GB.

Could you give a try to https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps ?

Also have in mind that 6.2 branch will be soon EOL, you may give a try to 6.3.3
Since Mint is based on Ubuntu, perhaps there's some PPA you can declare to have a more recent LO version.
