Description ken graebe 2019-11-16 02:53:32 UTC
Description:
as a negative number approaches the end of a column the digits are correctly wrapped but the - does not wrap when it is the last horizontal character in that column. this might also be true when no columns are present in which case the key word is line not column. I am uncomfortable reporting such a trivial problem.

In case you will not calculate with the numbers, you can use a 'non-breaking' hyphen with Ctrl+Shift+- or you use a true minus character, sign U+2212 from the subset 'Mathematical Operators'.

Sample document from Ken, send to me (Ken, since there is no private content I think I have your permission to aatach it here).
Comment 4 Regina Henschel 2019-11-17 12:37:48 UTC
I see the single hyphen, but I think, it is not a bug. Hyphens as minus sign needs only be used in case you calculate with numbers as in programming languages or spreadsheets. In other cases use the typographical correct sign U+2212.
Using a hyphen as minus was needed in times of typewriters and early computers, which only know 7-bit ASCII. Nowadays we have Unicode and the modern fonts contain the minus sign.
Comment 5 Dieter 2019-11-18 09:11:58 UTC
Ken, does the information from Regina (using minus sign instead of hyphen) solve your problem?
