Description: There is no easy way to delete the content in multiple cells in a calc sheet using the iOS app. In desktop LibreOffice a user can select multiple cells and then hit backspace in order bring up a dialog that offers to delete the content (but also other things such as the formating). On iOS the backspace key does not triggers this dialog and there is no other simple way as well to delete the content of multiple cells (AFAICT). Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create/open a spreadsheet using the iOS app 2. Insert some text into two or more cells 3. Select the cells and try to delete their content in one go Actual Results: There seems not to be an easy way to do so. Expected Results: Pressing backspace on the software or hardware keyboard should either delete the content of all selected cells or bring up the same dialog as in the desktop version. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Tested with 4.2.20 on iOS 13.2.x I believe that the dialog one usually sees when hitting backspace once worked in the iOS app.
Moving to NEW as agreed in the ESC meeting
This now works in 4.2 (25) on iOS 13.3 Backspace triggers the "Delete Contents" dialog (on a hardware keyboard as well as on the on screen keyboard). This issue can be closed as fixed. Thanks a lot to the Collabora team and especially to Tor for taking care of this!
Let's close as WFM, then.
