Description C V Horie 2019-11-24 09:52:02 UTC
As I recall during installation, there was no option to install LibreOffice on any drive, but there was on the help file. So I installed it on a bigger drive, but then Libreoffice did not recognise its existence.

As this caused problems (to me at least), it would help either to force the installations to be on the same drive, or to change the internal referencing to the helpfile that reflects the installation choices.

Version: 6.2.8.2 (x64)
Build ID: f82ddfca21ebc1e222a662a32b25c0c9d20169ee
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; VCL: win;
Locale: en-GB (en_GB); UI-Language: en-GB
Calc: threaded

There is an option for choose of drive for install LO. You should select Custom variant instead Typical https://www.libreoffice.org/assets/Uploads/InstallWindows/05InstallSetupType.png
and then select place for installing
https://www.libreoffice.org/assets/Uploads/InstallWindows/06InstallCustomSetup.png

and Help alway will be installed to LibreOffice install path by default.

or may be I didn't understand your problem? Please say it more clear

We need a string indication in out help installer, that the help MUST be installed into the same *directory* (not only "drive") as LibreOffice itself.

See OP's question and answer at https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/218216.

I believe this is an enhancement.
@Kompi, do you plan to work on it ?
Comment 4 C V Horie 2019-12-02 17:31:03 UTC
As the user affected, not being able to install the help file for an unknown reason is an annoying bug. Using a help file is not an enhancement.
