This bug pertains to LO Writer Version: 6.0.7.3 Build ID: 1:6.0.7-0ubuntu0.18.04.10 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.0; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); Calc: group which was installed together with Xubuntu 18.04.3 LTS currently running linux kernel 5.0.0-36-generic x86_64. I was reading the discussions in https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=126546, https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108498, and https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128960 and I also checked the instruction manual at https://help.libreoffice.org/6.4/en-US/text/swriter/01/05130000.html?DbPAR=WRITER#bm_id4005249. The styles deck first was attached to the Navigator right nest to my editing window. Then I moved it around on the screen and attached it to the border left if my editing window. That worked fine. Then I moved it somewhere to the middle of LO Writer’s window and dropped it there. This also worked. Then I switched off the navigator. The Styles deck vanished from the screen simultaneously. If I press <F11> or if I use Styles>Manage Styles, the styles deck just flashes up and disappears immediately where I happened to drop it before. This also happens after the Navigator ist shown on screen again. How can I let the styles dock reappear and dock it e.g. where it originally was?
Thank you for reporting the bug. it seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
The bug was gone after I remove the old version by sudo apt-get remove libreoffice-base-core and a subsequent sudo apt autoremove and installed Version: 6.3.3.2 Build ID: a64200df03143b798afd1ec74a12ab50359878ed CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.0; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded instead. The styles window appeared exactly at the place where I dropped it before and where it only flashed up when pressing <F11>. Shall we treat this as fixed (at least in version 6.3.3.2)?
Thanks for retesting with the latest version. Setting to RESOLVED WORKSFORME as the commit fixing this issue hasn't been identified.
