select database dialog

Hello,

I work a lot with the serial letter function of the libre office writer. There is one thing bothering me and also seem not the proper behavior.

Each time I close the Writer, I have to change the database name in the settings to print serial letters. Seems unintented to me or at least would be nice if I doesn't had to anymore.

I attached a screenshot with the versions of the dialog, one with the not working file name after reopening the Writer (it's the one with the "vnd.sun.star.pkg" in the filename), and one with the correct and working file name that I have to reselect every time after restarting the Writer.

I hope I explained it understandable. If not, don't hesitate to ask.

Could you try in 2 times?
I mean
1) Remove the wrong entry so there's none. Close LO restart. You should still have none.
2) If 1) ok, add the right entry, save, restart LO.

After deleting the entry, saving the file and restart LO, the faulty entry is still there.

Just tried the same with a complete new, empty file. This time the selected database was saved correctly and also remains after restarting LO.

So I guess the file is corrupted? Any chance to fix it, or do I need to rebuild it completly? There are quite much fields and conditions in use...

If it doesn't include confidential/private part, you may attach it here so someone can try to remove it.
You may also try yourself.
Rename the extension to zip, unzip and find the string in files.
Then remove it, zip again, put back the extension and try.

I've try to find the database path in the uncompressed odt files. But it isn't existing at all. So I've copy & pasted each textelement in an entire new writer file. Now it works for me, I can change an save the database path.

Thanks you very much for helping.
