Description: Whenever I move any of the LibreOffice programs to my second monitor (an LG 24MP55HQ-P), the screen seems to freeze. I can still type, but the newly written text will only appear on the screen once I moved the window back to my laptop's own screen. I can still open menus, but the text of those menus will not show. Clicking an item will still be registered, the effect of which again only visible when moving the window back. This is the first time I ever used any LibreOffice program, so all settings should be on their defaults. Actual Results: Expected Results: Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info:
Created attachment 156496 [details] A screenshot when Writer is on my second screen I moved the program to my second screen in windowed mode, maximized the program by double clicking on the top bar, and opened the help menu.
Rule of thumb is search existing bugs did you? Like https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99521 and others
Before I posted the bug report, I did a quick search, but couldn't find a similar one easily. It turns out I didn't take the time to understand the way the search engine works on Bugzilla. After my second search, I could find similar bugs like the one Timur linked. However, none of the bug reports that I found say anything about the typed text not showing up, but almost only about problems related to dysfunctioning menus. Therefore, it seems that the underlying problem is not fully overlapping.
You say OpenGL is enabled. Please try also with disabled In Tools Options View.
