Nicolas: Terribly sorry about that - but I cannot see the crash here :-( Please do you think you could get me the logcat from the device when the crash appears? https://developer.android.com/studio/command-line/logcat Thank you very much in advance!
Kendy: I found the culprit :) It's a language issue. I set my Android device to "English (Switzerland)" - this triggers the issue. Changing the primary language to e.g. "German (Switzerland)" immediately makes the app work again. Hope this helps to resolve the issue. All the best, Nicolas
I have the same problem. This is the first time I wanted to try the Android app for opening files on my Nextcloud (set up with Collabora Online, working perfectly via desktop browser). I just installed the latest version of this app from Google Play. Clicking on the document in the Nextcloud app on Android, I get the popup asking whether I want to open it with Google Docs or Collabora Office beta. I choose the latter, and then I get the exact same message as originally reported and attached. I also tried creating a new document from scratch in the app, thinking that it might be an issue with my Nextcloud integration. And maybe even the document, as I have migrated those from Google Sheets into LibreOffice documents. Alas, even creating a local document (I chose the spreadsheet as that is what I want to use) has failed in the exact same way. Phone: Moto G5 Plus (XT1685) Android: 8.1.0 Language preferences: 1 English(Sweden), 2 Magyar(Magyarország) 3 Svenska(Sverige) I would like to keep my language settings intact on my phone, please let me know if there is anything else I can do to work around this. Thank you in advance!
Moving to NEW @Nicolas, is this issue still reproducible with the latest Android build ?
@xisco: the issue was fixed by @kendy and the latest release (at least the one in the beta channel) works fine. This issue can be closed in my opinion. Thanks @xisco for the house keeping! And thanks a lot to the Collabora team and especially Kendy for fixing the issue!
Closing then.
