Description vplanel 2019-12-14 13:29:38 UTC
Description:
A bug I experienced this morning, that could have cost me a week of work…
I had cut three words (Cmd+X) that I wanted to move else where (Cmd+V), except that I selected all in the meantime (Cmd+A), so the whole document was replaced with those three words… And here impossible to cancel!
It could be because of two zotero citations in my documents, I noticed that zotero integration is not perfect (Zotero 5.0.80).

Here I took the good decision - this time at least it saved my work : I forced to quit with no delay, and happily the stored version was the complete one. But I could have found myself with just three words instead of a week's work…

Hope this helps - and thanks for your work…
yours,
VP

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Cmd+X after selecting a few words
2.Cmd+A to select all.
3.Cmd+V

Actual Results:
> Cmd+Z didn't work

Expected Results:
usually cancel works…

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
2 Zotero citations inserted.

Cmd+Z works (at least with Windwos 10), so I don't see the need to change something

Tested with

Version: 6.3.4.2 (x64)
Build-ID: 60da17e045e08f1793c57c00ba83cdfce946d0aa
CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 10.0; UI-Render: Standard; VCL: win;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Sprache: de-DE
Calc: threaded

Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

No repro for me with:

Version : 6.4.3.2
Build ID : 747b5d0ebf89f41c860ec2a39efd7cb15b54f2d8
Threads CPU : 8; OS : Mac OS X 10.15.4; UI Render : par défaut; VCL: osx;
Locale : fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); Langue IHM : fr-FR
Calc: threaded

1) Open a new Writer document
2) Type 6 lines of text
3) Select some text running over 2 paragraph returns
4) Cmd-X
5) Cmd-A
6) Cmd-V

7) Whole text selected by Cmd-A replaced by text stored in system clipboard from Cmd-X - correct behaviour so far

8) Cmd-Z - revert immediately previous effected operation - text display prior to Cmd-A + CMd-V correctly restored.

9) Repeating Cmd-Z correctly restores initially cut text that was removed with Cmd-X.

Works for me.
