Description Micah 2019-12-16 15:56:52 UTC
Description:
When doing a FILESAVE, specifically when exporting as PDF to an already existing file, most of my open programs crash. The programs I have open are:
Vivaldi browser [version: 2.9.1705.41 (Stable channel) (64-bit)],
Slack [version: 4.2.0 64-bit],
Thunderbird [version: 68.2.2 (64-bit)],
GNOME Terminal [version: 3.34.2],
Files [version: 3.34.1-stable],
VSCode [version: 1.41.0], and
LibreOffic Draw.

The programs that crash are Vivaldi, Slack, Thunderbird, and VSCode.

When testing with Draw in safemode, Vivaldi didn't crash, but the others did.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open project in LibreOffice Draw
2.Open Slack/Vivaldi/Thunderbird/VSCode
3.Export LibreOffice Draw project as PDF
4.Export project again as PDF, this time over-writing same PDF file from step 3

Actual Results:
Slack, Vivaldi, Thunderbird, and VSCode crash, while Draw, GNOME Terminal, and Files stay open.

Expected Results:
No programs should crash.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
Version: 6.3.3.2
Build ID: 1:6.3.3-0ubuntu0.19.10.1
CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 5.3; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

I attempted to test the problem with OpenGL disabled, but Draw crashed when I did that. Additionally, the "Use OpenGL for all rendering" option that is listed in the link below is no longer there in Draw. Now it just says "Use hardware acceleration"

Tested on beta [Version: 6.4.0.0.beta1
Build ID: 4d7e5b0c40ed843384704eca3ce21981d4e98920
CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 5.3; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded], and problem is still mainly present. Instead of other programs crashing, however, only Draw crashes.

(In reply to Micah from comment #1)

Does it crash with a more recent build (i.e., the 6.4.0 release version, or the 6.3.5 release version?

Maybe also try with Ubuntu 20.04.
