How to reproduce: ----------------- $ pmd2text pmdtest.pmd | less Observe that same contents are repeated 4 times. The attached archive contains 4 files: 1. The PMD file contains extended ASCII characters and used to display Malayalam text (in pre-Unicode era). 2. The PDF file is for comparison (even though it might look greek to the LO developers, but might help). 3. The converted text file. 4. If you must view the contents, an ASCII font is also attached. Expected result: contents are not repeated on conversion.
Hello Rajeesh, A new major release of LibreOffice is available since this bug was reported. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
Thank you for following up. I have now tested with LibreOffice 6.4.3.2/pmd2text 0.0.4 and the issue persists — converted text is repeated (4 times in the attached test case which has 4 pages). It seems entire contents are repeated by the number of pages in the PMD document.
Tested with libreoffice-7.0.4/libpagemaker-tools-0.0.4 and the issue remains. There has been no update to libpagemaker-tools (which is the core component for this functionality), so this is to be expected.
