Description olivier.magloire 2019-12-20 10:16:32 UTC
Description:
Copying text from one document to another works, but is rather bothersome since only one document can be opened at a time. Is there an easier way to copy across documents? Maybe by opening two editors side-by-side.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open first document
2. Copy text
3. Exit first document
4. Open second document
5. Paste text
6. Close second document
7. Open first document

Actual Results:
Copying and pasting content from one document to another to return to the original one takes 7 steps for each and every content.

Expected Results:
Less steps to achieve the result.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Moving to NEW as agreed in the ESC meeting
Comment 2 How can I remove my account? 2020-04-15 12:22:34 UTC
Isn't this a duplicate (or sub-task) of bug #128502? I.e. when that is implemented fully, the ability to have two documents open at the same time will be there.

Hi Tor

This issue is fixed in 6.4.0 (16). It works for both cases: using the app in a multitasking fashion (two documents open in parallel) as well as working with two different documents sequentially.

This issue can be closed now.

Thanks a lot to the Collabora team and especially Tor for taking care of this!
