Created attachment 156744 [details] OLE Embed Issues with Excel Workbooks ISSUES EXPERIENCED -------------------------------- There are issues when embedding an Excel Workbook via OLE into Writer. If I just bed an object (not Create from File), the Workbook behaviours like a picture that has been inserted. There no scrollbars and other interface controls to manipulate the Workbook. Dragging Workbook bigger resizes it like an image. The work book table is distorted. Creating from File only displays plain text and not the rest of the formatting. I tried link the create from option using a URL from the right click popup menu but this appeared to make no difference. ATTACHMENTS --------------------------------------- 1. Direct Workbook Insertion into Writer 2. Linked Workbook Into Writer 3. Word Document with OLE Embeds 4. CreateFromFileTest.xlsx SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION ------------------------------ LibreOffice version 6.4.0.1 64-bit Windows Pro 64-bit version 19.09 Office version 2019 64-bit
An ole embeded LO 4.6 Spreadsheet cannot be deleted. Selecting on the border of the embedded workbook and right-clicked to display expected popup menu. Only thing is no popup menu displayed. I cannot remove the embedded workbook from the Writer document.
Clicked outside of embedded workbook and the workbook disappears leaving behind a blank box. The workbook is only redisplayed after double-clicking within the bank box.
Sorr, but I don't know if I understand everything. I did the following steps: 1. I've downloaded your attachment. 2. I've tried to open Excel Spreadsheet from file 3. Dobble-click inside table => Open table I can edit 4. Comparison with CreaeFromFileTest.xlsx => Can't see a diference 5. I've opened Linked Excel Spreadshee in Writer 4. Dobble-click inside table => table is opened in Excel (installed on my laptop) So I can't see the problem Please a) Try to reproduce it with actual version of LO 6.4 branch b) If the problem ist still present in LO fresh, please add some detailed steps (like above), since this makes it easier to confirm the bug => NEEDINFO
