Description D. Gold 2019-12-28 23:34:11 UTC
Description:
Since I write only in English, I have set the language and spelling as "English (USA)."

However, I do often intersperse words and sometimes sentences in other languages.

When I use the spell checker, it often switches to a non-English language if it perceives that I have used a non-English word even though I have not reset the spell checker for that foreign language (it's not worth the trouble to reset because the non-English words are short enough and few enough for me to be able to easily check visually).

No matter how many times I try to reset the spell checker to English (USA), the software will not accept my resetting. Even if I save and quit the file I am in and then go back in to the same file, it is still set for the foreign language rather than for English (USA). Generally, I have to wait a few hours or even to the next day before the software automatically resets the spelling to English (USA).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. I have given the steps above
2.
3.

Actual Results:
After I type the non-English word and then revert to English, the spell checker continues to check my English text according to the spelling norms of the language to which the spell checker is now checked (say, French or Polish), even though I myself have not reset it to any non-English language.

Expected Results:
Explained above.

Reproducible: Always
