Description Dave 2019-12-31 08:51:47 UTC
Description:
When I import TIFF images in LibreOffice Writer the images are losing their colour, appearing in a monochrome, red hue.

There are no issues with JPG images, only when inserting TIFF. This would be a mammoth challenge to have to convert my images from TIFF to JPG. FYI: I did not have this issue with MS Word.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Insert Image
2.Select TIFF image
3.Image appears red in Writer

Actual Results:
inserted TIFF image appears red

Expected Results:
the software should have inserted the TIFF image in colour, not in red.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
the inserted images should appear in colour, not in red.

On Win10 with LO 6.3.4, I don't reproduce this.
Could you give it a try?

Indeed, 6.2 is now EOL so even if we reproduce this in 6.2, there won't be a new 6.2.9 version with a fix.

Looks to be a dupe of bug 36300

depends on the type of TIFF. Please attach one of the TIFFs causing issue. Or at the least use ImageMagick's 'identify' utility [1] to dump out details of the image.

And of course ImageMagick's command line tools allow image conversion in bulk.
