Description james 2020-01-01 18:55:36 UTC
Description:
The single arrow calc buttons usually cause 32 bit ubuntu calc to crash. The "go to the last set of sheets" button (>| button) usually works ok.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a spreadsheet with multiple tabs (sheets)
2.Use the "go to next tab" button to select the next tab
3.spreadsheet usually hangs for me.

Actual Results:
Click the next tab (sheet) button

Expected Results:
Spreadsheet should not hang. Note that it hangs, doesn't crash immediately.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Additional Info:
I tried turning off openCL and it seemed to fix the problem.

Thank you for reporting the bug.
it seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice.
Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to
'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.

On 32 bit 6.0.7.3, I could not turn on OpenCL to verify if the problem was/wasn't there. With opencl turned off, it worked ok.

I think the general idea is to eventually drop OpenCL in favour of threaded calculations.

The option for threaded is:
Tools - Options - Calc - Calculate: CPU Threading Settings: Enable multi-threaded calculation

It is possible your GPU driver is problematic and thus blacklisted by LibreOffice, so it does not allow you to turn OpenCL on. Let's close.
