Writer file containing images, frames and index entries

1. Open the attached writer file.
2. On page 1 there is an image of Planet Earth with a separate frame containing some text. Click within the text.
3. In the Paragraph styles list, double-click "Frame Contents - vertical.

EXPECTED RESULT: The text and frame assume a vertical orientation AND the index entry marks in the text are still visible.
ACTUAL RESULT: The same: i.e. the correct behaviour.

4. Now repeat steps 1-3 on the same frame on page 9 (or 11).

EXPECTED RESULT: Same as above.
ACTUAL RESULT: The index entry marks (in grey) become invisible.

I couldn't see any index entry mark after opening the document. Does it depend on any setting, if index marks are displayed or not?
Comment 2 R. Green 2020-01-13 14:24:00 UTC
I have only indexed a few words in the frames on pp. 1, 9, and 11, NOT in the general text. So that is where you should look for the grey marks. These are clearly visible just before the words "image" and "World".

Just to confirm: attached is a screenshot showing the grey "index entry" marks.

Oh and one other thing: you need to have "Field Shadings" ticked in the View menu.

That was the answer to my question :-)

I confirm it with

Version: 6.5.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: 350d25da375f221edfa37309324ce3c68cf297ef
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18362; UI render: default; VCL: win;
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Language: en-GB
Calc: threaded
Comment 6 Dieter 2021-11-26 15:05:35 UTC
Still the same in

Version: 7.2.3.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: d166454616c1632304285822f9c83ce2e660fd92
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB
Calc: CL

But as far as I can see, index doesn't change. So I changed severity to minor
