'Check for Updates...' does not work via proxy. System output:

Status: 'Checking for an update failed.'.
Description: 'Error reading data from the Internet. Server error message: Could not create SSL connection through proxy server: 200 Connection established.'

HTTP 200 Connection established sounds good but functionality is not working.

Expected behavior: use system proxy and update.

Proxy is basic install of Squid, nothing fancy, not auth required.

It's not the same bug as 33697. That one is about not being able to select / use proxy setting. Setting the proxy works fine.

The issue: the update process is using the proxy, THEN things go wrong: 200 Connection established && SSL connection through proxy server.
