Description Valerie Mates 2020-02-03 14:14:07 UTC
Description:
In LibreOffice Writer, I selected all of the text, then clicked on the pulldown list of fonts and was scrolling through it when another program popped up a reminder message. LibreOffice froze. I cannot select a font, edit text, or use any menu. (However, I can minimize and maximize the LibreOffice window, and when I tried to exit, it had me save my document, so no text was lost.)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run LibreOffice Writer.
2. Select some text.
3. Pull down the list of fonts.
4. While you are browsing the list of fonts, another program pops up a window that takes the cursor focus.

Actual Results:
Many functions froze: The pulldown list vanished. I also could not enter or edit text, select a font, or use any menus.

Expected Results:
The pulldown list should still be there, for selecting a font. Nothing should freeze.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Thanks for checking!
Comment 3 Dieter 2020-02-03 16:22:31 UTC
Valerie, there are three things, you can do:

1. Update LO to 6.3.4 or 6.4.0
2. Try to reproduce it. If you're not able to reproduce it, it will hardly be possible for somebody else.
3. Try tro reproduce it with save mode (Help > Restart in save mode)

Does this solve the problem or is it still reproducible?
