Description sdc.blanco 2020-02-03 14:30:08 UTC
To see problem:

1. Insert a section in a document. (dialog box closes)
2. Insert another section
3. In the new section box, try to enter a name with lowercase s.

Actual: Section1 (existing name) overrides the lowercase s.
Expected: can type lowercase s as first letter, without Section1 overriding.

4. In the new section box enter any lowercase text for name (e.g., abcd) and insert (dialog box closes)
5. Insert another section, try to insert New Section with uppercase (e.g, Abcd)

Actual: lowercase a overrides the uppercase A
Expected: can type uppercase A (etc.) for new section.

(nice idea to have autocomplete help -- but current implementation seems a little too aggressive)

(also found with 7.0.0.0.alpha)

Still present in

Version: 7.4.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 651ff4f195804b206941e6316c5120a914d28b6b

Steps:
1. Insert a section in a document. (dialog box closes)
2. Insert another section
3. In the new section box select default name (Section1) and try to enter a name with lowercase s.
4. In the new section box enter any lowercase text for name (e.g., abcd) and insert (dialog box closes)
5. Insert another section, select name (abcd) try to insert New Section with uppercase (e.g, Abcd)

Actual: Existing Uppercase overrides the lowercase of same character and vice versa
Expected: Can type lowercase as first letter, without overriding (and vice versa)

REPRODUCED (still present)

Step:

1. Inserted a section in a document named Section1

2. Inserted a second section in a document named Section2

3. Typed in section

4. First letter in first word becomes capitalized (could not reproduce upper case
becoming lower case on first word)
