Description:
The error occurs when the direct mail result appears, as nothing is displayed. However, when closing the window, we realize that it is hidden.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open the document in LibreOffice Writer that contains a mail merge.
2.Open the mail merge wizard.
3.Choose document type as letter.
4.Choose "finish".
5.Click on "edit individual documents"

Actual Results:
A ghost screen appears.

Expected Results:
A new text document should appear showing the information extracted from the direct mail.

Please give exact steps. Steps don't give anything strange. What you wrote is not the same as video, which shows many steps. 
You need to check if bug appears with built-in Bibliography database, which is easier to test. If not, you need to attach minimal sample.
