Created attachment 158078 [details] DrawPrintDialog_Cinnamon16.04.png The Draw print dialog is too big to fit on the screen, and the X button to close the window is missing, and the Cancel/Print buttons are below the screen. LO 6.3 commit cb443d07d54d6698eff51b5be2c6b56323f10315 Author: Daniel <danielfaleirosilva> Date: Sat Jun 2 19:40:52 2018 -0300 New Print Dialog Design This probably isn't a valid bug due to my unusual setup (Ubuntu 16.04 system with Cinnamon desktop using an Arc Darker theme), but just reporting it in case someone else can replicate it - particular a Mint user. I also don't have the problem on Ubuntu 20.04 with a similar setup. It might also be a somewhat moot point because there is no LO 6.3 for 16.04 in the PPA. I don't have the bandwidth to test other things like snaps/flatpack/appimage.
Hi Justin, So is it only happening in Draw ? Is it the same issue as bug 127782 ?
I rarely try to print in development, so I just assumed it was a different dialog for Draw. It is the same for all of them. I tested in a similar 18.04 setup, and had the same problem - no closing X. Since that is distinct from the other error reports, let's focus this bug report on that unique aspect.
I'm testing with LO 7.0 development build from yesterday. It seems that genuine LinuxMint is OK in terms of the the available X to close the window. 16.04 Wasta (Ubuntu+cinnamon) machine: X shown in Ubuntu gnome, but not in cinnamon 3.6.7 Package: libgtk-3-0 Version: 3.18.9-1ubuntu3.3 18.04 virtual machine: Mint 19.0 - X shown, didn't fit on screen. Cinnamon 3.8.8 Package: libgtk-3-0 Version: 3.22.30-1ubuntu1 Wasta 18.04 virtual machine: no X shown, didn’t fit on screen. Cinnamon 4.0.9 Package: libgtk-3-0 Version: 3.22.30-1ubuntu4 18.04 virtual machine: Mint 19.3 – X shown, didn’t fit on screen. Cinnamon 4.4.5 Package: libgtk-3-0 Version: 3.22.30-1ubuntu4 So, it looks like it is probably either our theme or else the debian packaging of cinnamon that is causing the missing X closing window problem.
Not sure it's an issue. I use debian and cinnamon too and my current theme doesn't show the closing X in some windows, but not just in LibreOffice, but in firefox or other apps, so I think it's a theme issue, not a LibreOffice problem
The latest fixes for 6.4 and 7.0 take care of the oversized problem. Assuming the missing window management icons are theme problems based on confirmation in comment 4.
