Description Willian 2020-03-02 15:01:33 UTC
Description:
I was trying to use libreoffice to edit a powerpoint made presentation, because The math formula was not being visualized, so I tried to insert them using "insert / object / formula".
But when I finally got the formula to be inserted the color was messed with the background and i found it very difficult to change the color (it is not so intuitive and i could not found it), and resize the formula with the mouse was impossible.
When I tried to resize the formula by clicking with 'right mouse button' / 'position and size', i finnaly got it, but font was scaled together with the box.
So it is not working like expected, at least the resizing with the mouse i think could be a bug.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. click insert/ object / formula
2. insert a formula
3. In impress, try to resize it with the mouse.

Actual Results:
It was impossible to resize the box

Expected Results:
It should be easy to resize the box, and not only that, it should be easy to format another aspects of the formula, like color, font, size, etc.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I really appreciate LibreOffice and I want to contribute with it. Thankyou for this amazing software

Math (sm - StarMath) are handled as OLE objects. OLE objects are held in a frame on the Impress/Draw canvas or on the Writer canvas. They are held as a frame in a Calc sheet.

If the object supports it you can adjust facets of the frame.

Changes in size are handled within the OLE. For sm that is done by wrapping the formula ins a 'size 34 { 'your formula' }--the numeric value of the size controlling the rendered formula size on the document canvas. While specifics of font selection, size, and spacing of node elements within the formula are handled in the Math modules 'Format' menu.
