Description Olaf Hautow 2020-03-25 08:11:50 UTC
Description:
I have a suggestion.
I often use the template settings. There will display available templates e.g.: hierarchical, all templates, hided templates, used templates et al.
It doesn‘t suits frequently that I need or I have to switch often.
My proposal is the available templates to choose through checkbuttons.
So you can choose e.g. used template and user-defined templates together.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. LibreOffice Writer <F11> overview available templates
2. Items templates
3.

Actual Results:
only one templates

Expected Results:
checkboxen of eligible templates

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
My proposal is the available templates to choose through checkbuttons.
So you can choose e.g. used template and user-defined templates together.

Olaf, I think, your talking about styles (Formatvorlagen) and not about templates.

And if you talk about templates, we have the template manager that serves the selection purpose very well.

I made a suggestion, and I didn't report a mistake. Now I have also read the bug 114886. In principle, it involves the same problem. You always have to switch back and forth,
Bug 114886
"Switching between two views is quite cumbersome, because you have to perform three actions for every transition:
- Opening the view modes ComboBox.
- Searching the wanted display mode.
- Selecting it. "
My suggestion was to add checkbuttons to the styles. So that all required styles are displayed at the same time and you do not always have to switch. The selection of styles has not been improved even after the message of the bug 114886 from 2018-03-20.

"Would you mind adding an additional checkbox "[x] used styles"?
The answer was "Yes, good point. "
I mean the same thing. Nothing has changed to this day.
