Description: I think a useful enhancement would be to keep current chapter on top of the screen, maybe in a strip just below or above the ruler, for instance. Steps to Reproduce: Not applicable Actual Results: Chapter just gets lost when you scroll down Expected Results: Chapter title keeps in a line above text, even when you go down deep in the text Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: No other relevant information
How about adding a page break to the chapter style? [Heading] Paragraph Style > Text Flow > Breaks > [x] Insert [Page] [Before]. But reading your request again you may have a UI control in mind that always shows the current chapter, like at the statusbar. We do have the Navigator for this purpose, and the latest build always highlight the current position. Meaning under Headings are Chapter 1, Chapter 2 etc. listed and Chapter 2 is selected when your cursor is in this part.
agree with => WFM, visual indicator of position is available in the Navigator deck.
"But reading your request again you may have a UI control in mind that always shows the current chapter, like at the statusbar." Yes, I was thinking of that "We do have the Navigator for this purpose, and the latest build always highlight the current position." Yes, you're right, that may be a solution. But navigator has 2 problems: - It always highlight the current position of the CURSOR, which doesn't change when you scroll with the mouse. This is trouble when reading mainly. (At least in my build: 6.3.4.2) - It doesn't work on full screen
Needinfo to OP, please test a current build of daily master that has the changes to the Navigator. IMHO this is already provided and would just clutter the Status Bar. And, would really object to any type of 'masthead' client side decoration for annotation.
I'm sorry, I can't change my version anymore as I have written some python code which i need for work and I'm not sure it will work anymore. Thanks for replying
