Created attachment 160144 [details] Pictures and spreadsheet. 1. Fixed column size and fixed row size (4x4cm) don´t match on the screen. (The height is larger.) But they match on the pdf export. (In Excel 2010 there is match for me on the screen, but not match on the pdf export - worse.) 2. When I insert a square jpg image with dpi set (X pixels = Y pixels, X dpi = Y dpi), the aspect ratio of the inserted image in properties matches - it is 1:1, OK. Scale image to cell size is OK, too. Pdf export is OK, too. The view on the screen is fill-full image to cell, and because of point 1 it is not square - no 1:1. (Measured on screenshot.) 3. When I insert a square jpg image without dpi set (X pixels = Y pixels), the aspect ratio of the inserted image in properties does not match - it is not 1:1, nOK. Scale image to cell size is correct in width, bud the height is set by aspect ratio from an incorrect import. (The height is lower.) Pdf export is not square, with space border on the bottom. The view on the screen is not fill-full to cell, with space border on the bottom, and maybe because of point 1 it is square. (Measured on screenshot.)
Confirmed. The images in C1 and C2 leave a gap at the bottom of the cell. This is already seen in 3.3.0 on Windows 10. Dear iggy.h, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Retest 2025, LibreOffice 25.2.1.2: NODPI - image 2025jesterkanodpi.jpg 314x314px without dpi set. 100DPI - 2025jesterka100dpi.jpg similar image 314x314px with dpi set to 100 dpi. 2025Pexeso.ods file has 6 tabs, exported to 6 pdfs: 2025Pexeso-nodpi.pdf NODPI after Insert Image and Fit to Cell Size: 3.87 x 4 cm - not OK. 2025Pexeso-nodpi2.pdf NODPI after Insert Image and Original Size and Fit to Cell Size: 4 x 4 cm - OK 2025Pexeso-nodpi3.pdf NODPI after Insert Image and Fit to Cell Size and Position and Size manually Width set to 4 cm: 4 x 4 cm - OK. 2025Pexeso-nodpi4.pdf NODPI after Insert Image: 7.54 x 7.86 cm - not OK NODPI after Insert Image and Original Size: 7.52 x 7.52 cm - square, quite OK. 2025Pexeso-100dpi.pdf 100DPI after Insert Image and Fit to Cell Size: 4 x 4 cm - OK. 2025Pexeso-100dpi2.pdf 100DPI after Insert Image: 7.98 x 7.98 cm - quite OK 100DPI after Insert Image and Original Size: 7.97 x 7.97 cm - quite OK (314 x 2.54) / 100 = 7.9756 Result: All pdf exports appeared as on screen - OK. The Bug is quite resolved now, because manually corrected size is OK for NODPI and 100DPI too. 100DPI Insert Image works correctly. NODPI Insert Image function still does not work correctly, because Width and Height are different after insert. Original Size function change NODPI w/h ratio to square and then Fit to Cell Size function works correctly for NODPI too. Original Size function change slightly 100DPI image size.
