Description vgtvgy1 2020-05-04 16:02:26 UTC
Description:
I simply want to insert into a formula angles (alpha beta in greek), fine I can insert it with Symbols button
But I can't insert Angle symbol (the symbol that comes after lets say 45 degrees)

My suggestion is put these common symbols in the formula section, because they are so used

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Inset a forumla
2. In left panel, you should see angles, but there is none

Actual Results:
In left panel, no angle symbols

Expected Results:
Angle symbols

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:

Do you mean the angle signs themselves or something else?

Angle signs for example: ∟ (U+221f), ∠ (U+2220), ∡ (U+2221), ∢ (U+2222), ⊾ (U+22BE), ⦜ (U+299C), ⦝ (U+299D)

why not just program them in libreoffice instead of trying to find them? this doesn't make sense for a user

Formulas are written as MathML into the file, so we can only use Unicode symbols. What we can do, is to add requested symbols to our font OpenSymbol, so that they are available to all users, and make a UI for easily adding such symbols to the formula.

Therefore question again: Do you are asking for such angle symbols?

Second question: You have used the Component Writer. Shouldn't it be Formular Editor?
