It works fine here from inside or outside Writer. Also check Tools - Options - LibreOffice - View: Mouse - Middle button is Paste clipboard. Arch Linux 64-bit Version: 6.4.3.2 Build ID: 6.4.3-1 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.6; UI render: default; VCL: kf5; Locale: fi-FI (fi_FI.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded

Changing that option has no effect until you restart LibreOffice Writer.

Let's repurpose this report. Arch Linux 64-bit Version: 7.0.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 8af2c4e3a517e3b75f2ace971... I understand the lack of restart popup here but is it normal too to be required to change this parameter to make Mouse - Middle button work ?
(In reply to Julien Nabet from comment #5) > I understand the lack of restart popup here but is it normal too to be > required to change this parameter to make Mouse - Middle button work ? Maybe Ubuntu 20.04 has a different default? I don't understand why they would change it, though.
Confirmed on 20.04. However, pasting in other applications with the middle mouse button works (gedit e.g.).
(In reply to Samuel Mehrbrodt (CIB) from comment #7) > Confirmed on 20.04. > However, pasting in other applications with the middle mouse button works > (gedit e.g.). I discussed with Samuel on IRC and he confirmed Ubuntu had changed the default to "Automatic Scrolling". vmhilden: you can report this to downstream Ubuntu: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice I did not find an existing report.
