Bug is reproducible on Windows. I used the attached odt (attachment 160430 [details]) and followed the steps as shown in the video (attachment 160429 [details]).

LibreOffice started not to respond, I had to restart the program after waiting several minutes (waited for 5 then ended it from Task Manager).

Tested in:
Version: 6.4.4.1 (x64)
Build ID: b50bc319eca5cd5b66fbfe2ebd0d3bd1eed099b5
CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 17763; UI render: GL; VCL: win;
Locale: nl-NL (nl_NL); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: CL

I've tested the following cases as well (by using the same document):
- Copy/paste empty table between text -> No error
- Copy/paste table (with text in it) between text -> No error
- Copy/paste image (only the cat in the odt) between text -> No error

But when I copied an image into an empty table and copy/paste them together between text, this led to CRASH.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open sss324 fout.odt
2. Copy the image(cat),click on an empty table(used 3x3 on p2, 1st row),paste
3. Copy & paste them together several times on different places in the doc (I didn't go to the bottom, pasted on the first pages)
4. Program will crash

Actual Result   : Crash

Expected Result: Copy paste should work without problems (slowing down/crash)

After this point, when I reopened Writer, I wasn't able to copy/paste the image to the table as before (by simply clicking anywhere on the table). I had to click & press enter on the table to make enough space for the image. Otherwise, it was copied outside the table.

Dear Telesto,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword
