Created attachment 160842 [details] A video of what happens when trying to add text to groups >Version: 6.4.3.2 >Build ID: 40(Build:2) >CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.6; UI render: default; VCL: kf5; >Locale: nl-NL (nl_NL.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US >Calc: threaded > $ lsb_release -a > LSB Version: n/a > Distributor ID: openSUSE > Description: openSUSE Tumbleweed > Release: 20200509 > Codename: n/a **Behavior:** After creating a group of objects or importing one from a gallery (probably SVG), double clicking on the group or hitting F2 doesn't create a text box linked to the object group. Adding text is henceforth only possible to individual objects in the group or individually and then adding it to the group. **Expected behavior:** Adding text to groups should work equally as easy as when adding text to single, ungrouped objects. A double click or hitting F2 should create a text box with the same properties as that of one added to a single object.
The file format (see URL) does not allow direct text for a group. For direct text you would need an element <text:p>.
