Description Ulrich Windl 2020-05-18 06:27:46 UTC
(I hope this is the right forum)
I had a bug change notification for bug 68071 that had a "See Also" URL.
However the URL had two line breaks inside, so it would not work as URL.
In the mail source the URL looked like this:
https://bugs.documentdounda
tion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12
2908

The message also used quoted-printable encoding when it was not necessary.

Hello Ulrich,
I don't reproduce it using Thunderbird.
Which mail client do you use ?

If Thunderbird can follow the link under "Added", it's truly artificial intelligence! The way the link is split into multiple lines and aligned with the column layout makes it quite unusable. OK, maybe the MUA shouldn#t even try to suggest that link (the MUA displays the start of the URL text as clickable URL).

Only the start of the URL is recognized.

I do believe the see also added/removed value is just a string, thus is correct to no treat it like a link, like it does for me. Why you see half of the string as a link is a mystery to me. I believe your mail client converts any string starting with http:// to a link.
Definitely not a LibreOffice issue anyway. If you still think this is still an issue on Bugzilla's size, it should be reported to them
