Description: Running new installation of Libre Office 6.4.4.2 on macOS Catalina 10.15.4 It is a new mac and I am editing files that were created on my old Windows machine using Libre Office(Last updated at the beginning of 2020. So probably not 6.4.4.2). I can open, edit and, save both .odt and .docx files that were created on my old device. But when I attempt to save the .odt file into .docx format Libre Office crashes. This only happens when working with files form the old device. No problem when I created new .odt on this device and attempt to save that as .docx Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create .odt on a Windows10 device(Probably the previous version of Libre Office) 2. Open it on a MacOS Catalina 10.15.4 3. Save as: change to .docx Actual Results: Waiting icon followed by crash. Expected Results: Expected it to save the file as .docx Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 6.4.4.2 Build ID: 3d775be2011f3886db32dfd395a6a6d1ca2630ff CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.15.4; UI render: default; VCL: osx; Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded
Sounds a bit like 132025 (however not noticing a language pack..) A workaround is - probably - to grant LibreOffice Full Disk Access in Security & Privacy -> Privacy in System preferences
(In reply to Telesto from comment #1) > Sounds a bit like 132025 (however not noticing a language pack..) > > A workaround is - probably - to grant LibreOffice Full Disk Access in > Security & Privacy -> Privacy in System preferences Just tried it. That workaround DOES work! Thank you. Tried it agian to verify that it is still crashing if I revoke Full Disk Access. So granting it seems to be what fixes the issue. I don't understand this OS well enough to know the security risks involved in granting full disk access, so I'll be keeping it turned off when I'm not actively converting old files. Thanks for the help.
