crash report on my MacBook

Error happens with Version 6.4.4.2 and 7.0.0.0.aplpha

On using a scrollbar in writer the application will crash. A message is being displayed: "LibreOffice: object is nonfunctional.

The error occurs each time after clicking in the scrollbar or moving the scrollbar with pressed mouse.

First occurrence on my MacBookPro while entering a text in Arabic script (RTL). Since then it always happens on using a scrollbar.

on my iMac the error occurred already earlier.

Did you try to reset the profile?

yes, I did, but error siruation remained.
Comment 3 Telesto 2020-05-29 21:13:06 UTC
This only a try/and error suggestion. Could be something else..
Grant LibreOffice Full Disk Access in > Security & Privacy -> Privacy in System preferences
Comment 4 Alex Thurgood 2020-06-02 13:37:52 UTC
@Georg : is this only with RTL activated or can you reproduce this with LTR default ?
Comment 5 Georg 2020-06-02 13:46:41 UTC
Yes, it looks like it is related to RTL in documents.

I just closed all open documents and restarted LibreOffice and opened a document without any RTL text or arabic font.

There the error does not seem to be triggered.
Comment 6 Georg 2020-06-02 14:03:33 UTC
Additional information: I could also trigger the error in a LTR document, but it takes more back and forth scrolling to trigger the error.
Comment 7 Georg 2020-06-02 14:09:04 UTC
I did this already but that does not have any influence on the reported error situation

@Georg : are you using screen magnification in fullscreen mode ?

cf. for example, bug 132999

Hi, I'm working with LO 6.4.7.2 and macOS 10.15.7 and experienced since a few days crashes of LO with that "object is nonfunctional" message, often after having scrolled.

Got no idea first, but then I realized that ONE other thing changed in these days, too: my y-key stopped working, so I used the keyboard window for input and kept it open minimized while writing text in LibreOffice.

No more crashes without the keyboard window open yet!

And, Georg: Probably you also had the keyboard window open (arabic characters)?
