Description JohnHa 2020-06-06 10:58:33 UTC
Description:
Every time I use Edit > Find in this (and similar) file Calc crashes.

Calc does not crash with a trivially tiny file.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Fred.ods with Calc. It is a simple file containing only cells with text characters. There are no formulae.
2. Edit > Find
3. Type any string (eg qwert) into Find box
4. Click down arrow

Actual Results:
Calc immediately crashes

Expected Results:
Calc should not crash.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
Resetting profile had no effect.

A .csv file containing 1,800 characters/spaces causes Calc to crash

I wanted to prove it is not a damaged file causing the crash.

This simple .csv file contains 1,800 characters and spaces - it is very simple.

1 Open > File ..., and select Tom.csv
2. Choose SPACE as separator - file opens
3. Edit > Find
4. Type any text into Find box (eg qwert)
5. Click down arrow

Calc crashes.

On pc Debian x86-64 with LO Debian package 6.4.4.2, I don't reproduce this.

Could you upgrade to 6.4.4 and give a new try?

Works OK in 6.4.4.2 on W10 so fixed for me.
