Description Bastian Bernos 2020-06-11 10:40:21 UTC
Description:
Greetings,
I have a problem with graphs that uses secondary axis using Calc:
When I make the graphs these are good and shown correctly, but if I save, close the file and then open it again the graph hasn't the secondary axis any more and, sometimes, the whole graph is shown in a wrong way, even the part tied to the primary axis

I even tried to uninstall libreoffice and reinstalling it, but to no avail

Steps to Reproduce:
1. make a graph with more variables, some tied to the primary axis, others to the secondary axis
2. Save the file
3. Close the file
4. Open the file again

Actual Results:
The graph hasn't the secondary axis, the variables associated to it are again associated to the primary axis, solmetimes the graph is even visualized incorrectly

Expected Results:
It should have kept the secondary axis and show the graph correctly, like the way it did before closing the program.

Reproducible: Always

Did you give a try to LO 6.4.4?

No, I am using the still version, I thought it was stabler.
Comment 3 Julien Nabet 2020-06-11 12:53:04 UTC
Ok, could you give it a try?
(6.4.4 should be stable enough unless you only use very stable versions which are EOL or almost EOL, see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan/6.4)

I have tried now, but the secondary axis keeps disappearing

I attached an example file but I suppose I must have missed something since x and y are displayed.
Would it be possible you attach an example file?

Ok on pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I could reproduce this.

You should have indicated from the beginning it was an xlsx.
On your screenshot from my file, I don't see anything special.

I noticed these logs on console:

Sorry to have omitted this, but in fact the problem happens also in ods files.
I do not understand why you do not understand anything special on my screenshot: as you can see there is no secondary axis and all the variables are tied to the primary axis, this is exactly the problem.
Comment 12 Julien Nabet 2020-06-12 12:27:03 UTC
On the screenshot of your file, I saw what was the problem.
It's in your screenshot of my file that I didn't see the problem.

Anyway, I won't be able to help here but certainly other people will be able to
=> uncc myself.

Thanks for your help anyway.
Still I do not understand, even with the file you sent (testjul.ods) I see no secondary axis as my screenshot proves, haven't you put any?
Comment 14 Bastian Bernos 2020-06-13 13:05:07 UTC
I made some tests, it seems that I have no problems with .ods extention, it is only with .xlsx.
Why did you made a test file without the secondary axis? That made it useless.
Comment 15 Martin Srdoš 2022-05-28 12:28:21 UTC
Not reproducible in actual version:
Version: 7.4.0.0.alpha1+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 09822cf77cdbe32b03553cd05154100b5f2591d0
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win
Locale: cs-CZ (cs_CZ); UI: en-US
Calc: CL

Reproducible in earliest affected version, so it is resolved.
Comment 16 Bastian Bernos 2022-05-29 06:50:40 UTC
Excellent, thanks.
