Description: Today, while updating from Libre Office 6.3 to 6.4.4, the Installation Wizard hung up or was extremely slow. The point at which it hung up was during "calculating storage space". Again, while trying to access Custom Installation the Wizard hung up. The same thing happened last night when I attempted to do an update install. The install failed eventually. This morning's install was successful in the end. I was using LibreOffice_6.4.4_Win_x64.msi and installing on a Windows 10 64 bit system. Steps to Reproduce: 1. download LibreOffice_6.4.4_Win_x64.msi on WIN 10 system 2. Proceed through installation process 3. Optionally, choose Custom install Actual Results: Install Wizard hung up for about 3 minutes near the beginning of installation process. the Wizard was generally very slow at several points during the proceedure. Expected Results: as above on two occasions. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Version: 6.4.4.2 (x64) Build ID: 3d775be2011f3886db32dfd395a6a6d1ca2630ff CPU threads: 2; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 17763; UI render: default; VCL: win; Locale: en-CA (en_CA); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded
If you need details of my OS and software environment I can run a scan using an appropriate utility and post/append it to the bug report. Let me know if you need that.
Unfortunately there is nothing actionable here. If you happened to capture a verbose log of the update custom installation (e.g. with command line install msiexec.exe /i LibreOffice_6.4.4.2_Win_x64.msi /L*v installLog.txt). Otherwise, would need you to uninstall all. Install the 6.3.6 release, and then repeat the 6.4.4 update with logging. Which is kind of a crap shoot the same issues would present. But if it did you have the needed details. If you prefer not to, that is fine as well. Just close this out Resolved Insufficient Data. The record of the issue is here and if it becomes common (it has not yet) we'll include your instance. Thnaks.
