While searching a large spreadsheet for ANYTHING, it immediately crashed. I exported the file as a CSV; closed the file; opened/imported the CSV (all columns as text); and the issue still occurred. I have not had search issues with any other Calc files today.

I can provide the offending document on request; I am not sure I can release it publicly.

Could you give a try at last stable LO version, 6.4.4?

Also, could you give a try at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps ?

I cannot replicate the issue in LO 6.4.4

In 6.3.6, we discovered two things which workaround the issue, which I am noting for thoroughness:
Deleting any row in the spreadsheet
Hitting Ctrl-F before searching (clicking straight into the search box if it was already loaded in the UI triggers the issue)

Thank you for your feedback.
Let's put this one to WFM then.
