Description h.hubinger 2020-07-03 12:17:15 UTC
Description:
Select cells with no content. Go to Find&Replace. Checkbox "Current selection only" is disabled.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select cells with no content.
2. Go to Find&Replace.

Actual Results:
Checkbox "Current selection only" is disabled (greyed out).

Expected Results:
Restriction to "Current selection only" should also be possible if a non-empty selection of cells contains only empty cells.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Use case:
Had to edit large spreads sheet for database import. Wanted to replace all empty cells of several very long columns with default values. If by chance all cells are empty it's not possible. This behaviour does not seem to be intended.

Not reproducible in

CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US

it seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice.
Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
