Description resoftp 2020-07-09 17:01:56 UTC
Description:
on successive manual use of Find & Replace function, whioe working through a text, it will regularly fail to scroll the visible portion of the text to include the item found by the function.
This necessitates moving focus from the Search & Replace dialogue to the text window (to try and scroll to where the function has highlighted the next item); but when this happens, the highlighting of the item is removed, frustrating the process altogether.
Consequently a workaround entails a complicated prosess of switching focus, scrolling, repositioning cursor in the text and moving focus back to Find & Replace

Steps to Reproduce:
1. initiate a Find & Replace on a piece of text that spans at least two pages (i.e., that has portions outside the visible window) and that contains a the same item in several places throught (the word "the" is a good candidate)
2. set it to find the candidate item
3. observe when the next item is oof the bottom of the visible portion

Actual Results:
above should be sufficient

Expected Results:
see above

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
It should scroll the text so that the next item found by the function is moved up suffciently for it to be within the visible portion

Thank you for reporting the bug.
it seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice.
Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
