Created attachment 164414 [details] My styles sheet “File | Export as EPUB | Export as EPUB” is badly broken. Several common and simple LibreOffice things are not being rendered in the EPUB output. 1. The values of field names are not being filled in. I noticed that all DOCINFORMATIO field were missing. See the fields on page 1 of the attached style sheet and compare with the epub output. 2. Bullet Lists and Numbered lists don’t show the bullets and numbers and are not indented. See the lists on page 9 of the attached style sheet and compare with the epub output. 3. Simple tables are not being rendered correctly. See the table on page 9 of the attached style sheet and compare with the epub output. 4. List of Figure, Index of Tables, and Table of Contents are not being rendered at all. See the TOC on page 1 and the List of Figure, Index of Tables on page 15 of the attached style sheet and compare with the epub output.
Thank you for reporting the bug. I'm not sure, if you've checked for duplicates. For example problems with tables were reported in bug 132646, problems with lists in 131513. So please make sure, that your problems haven't been reported before. And since there is a basic rule "one problem / one bug report" in Bugzilla, please open a single bug report for each problem that remains. Thanks.
It is at least not a macOS specific issue, so removing that to increase visibility
Let's keep this bug just for field names that are not being filled in when exporting to EPUB. (For the rest of the bugs there are another bugs opened) I confirm this on Version: 7.1.5.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 85f04e9f809797b8199d13c421bd8a2b025d52b5 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.8; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: ro-RO (ro_RO.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
I've tested following methods of epub-export 1. Export as EPUB -> Layout method: Reflowable => Reproducible 2. Export as EPUB -> Layout method: Fixed => not reproducible 3. Export directly as EPUB => Reproducible Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 1e9f4de320f67d1218c710bcee1969a2324c6888 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL threaded As far as I understand description of layout methods, display of conditional text shouldn't be depend on layout methods
Dear David W. Snow, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-UntouchedBug
