Description Jim Tassell 2020-08-19 09:00:20 UTC
In calc version 6.4.6.2 there is a malfunction when pasting.
The application is a list of names and addresses. One column is for email addresses. When I get a new email address (we are still collecting them) I copy from the email, go to the required cell and use CTRL+V to paste the email address. The effect is that it is entered in the cell below the one that I have highlighted.
Now I have spotted this I will need to re-check the whole list (circa 250 rows)in case this offset affects other entries.

To that happens, something like a new line it's at the beginning of data to paste.
Without the original mail it's difficult to take a look, in my own test it doesn't happen.

Please try different ways to select the source data.

OK, you win! This has happened on a couple of occasions recently but setting up a dummy email and spreadsheet I cannot replicate it either now. Obviously, with GDPR I cannot share the real ones. The original spreadsheet is of considerable age and was originally done in Excel (the old XLS format) so maybe there's a carry-over gremlin from that. Emails are via current Thunderbird. For now I must suggest closing this out so no one wastes more time on it.
