Description bugcatcher1 2020-08-19 17:02:28 UTC
Description:
1. I wanted to change the formatting of a page.
2. I did what I have done bazillions of times: I clicked on the “Format” menu option.
3. I looked for the “Page” menu option. There was none!
4. I went to “Tools” to see if it somehow got unclicked as a menu option. There was NO such option!
5. What I found under “All Commands” was: “Page Formatting”, “Page Margins”, “Page Size”, and “Page Width”. --- NO “Page” option at all!
6. I put all of those into the “Format” menu option. See Picture of my menus.
NOT ONE of the them did anything! There was NO pop up window, nor any action of any kind! I repeated the process several times. Still no way to change the page format!
7. I went to the “Help” manual. I found that the method I had always used was the documented as the way to do the task. There was NO mention of “Page Formatting”, “Page Margins”, “Page Size”, and “Page Width” in the “Format” menu! See Picture of “Help” manual.

So, there is NO way to change page formatting, and your manual is wrong. Now what do I do?

BTW: Where is the "urgent" option? This kind of problem is NOT a "normal" Fix!

Also, your manual help page does not reflect the reality I am seeing.

I have pictures in case you are interested.

Steps to Reproduce:
7. I went to the “Help” manual on this page: file:///usr/share/libreoffice/help/en-US/text/shared/01/05040200.html?DbPAR=SHARED#bm_id3150620.

Actual Results:
NO way to change page formatting using Format menu or anything else.

BTW: Where is the "urgent" option? This kind of problem is NOT a "normal" Fix!

Expected Results:
An option to change the page formatting should have been in the Format menu.

I should have then been able to click on "Page" and gotten the pop up shown in the manual on this page: file:///usr/share/libreoffice/help/en-US/text/shared/01/05040200.html?DbPAR=SHARED#bm_id3150620

BTW: Where is the "urgent" option? This kind of problem is NOT a "normal" Fix!

Also, your manual help page does not reflect the reality I am seeing.
