Description Callegar 2020-09-12 12:07:04 UTC
Description:
When you start a new presentation and you set a slide background color, in presentation mode, the color does not cover the whole of the slide and a white 1-pixel zone often remains visible on the right side of the slide. This does not happen in edit mode.

See the attached screenshot.

While this is just a small aesthetic issue, it is one of those little things that make impress lose credibility in professional environments. The effect is particularly poor when using dark slide backgrounds.

Seeing the issue in Linux, both in 6.4.x and in 7.0.x. Don't know if it is specific to the linux presentation routines. Similarly it is unclear to me if this occurs with all screen resolutions, slide sizes and form factors, etc.

My uninformed guess is that there is some rounding issue somewhere when scaling the slide to the correct size for presentation.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start impress, begin new presentation, set slide size to "screen 4:3" which on my system gives a 280x210 mm slide (unknown to me if this is locale dependent and if the issue is present for all form factors)

2. Using the slide properties dialog set the slide background to some solid color (e.g. RED)

3. Start the presentation

Actual Results:
In presentation mode, the slide has the correct background, but for a white region on the right, about 1 pixel thick.

Expected Results:
The slide should all have the right background color in presentation mode.

Reproducible: Always

In LibO 6.4.x the issue is present both with and without OPENGL.
In LibO 7.0.x I have no OPENGL setting.
In both versions, the issue is present both with and without antialiasing.
