Description billmoss@acm.org 2020-09-29 16:09:49 UTC
This has been a problem for a long time. Its severity varies and it does not occur all the time. The size and location of the table and the complexity of the document seems to have an effect.

The problem:
I highlight two or more cells in a row.
I then right click my mouse.
Select 'merge cells'.
Writer crashes!

This is totally repeatable. I get around it by modifying the document with additional lines and such until the merge again works.

On pc Debian x86-64 with LO Debian package 7.0.1.2 + gtk3 rendering, I don't reproduce this.

On which Linux distrib are you? Do you use gtk3, kde or other?
Could you give a try at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps ?
